Food & Nutrition
We aim to provide children with food and nutrition that is supported by the Australian Dietary Guidelines and the NSW Australian Food Authority. We support and provide meals for children with food allergies or specific cultural practices. Meal times are used to reinforce suitable nutrition habits, manners, socialisation and self-help skills, and provide learning experiences in themselves.
We believe children must be provided with adequate nutrition in order to grow and learn effectively, and children should be educated about good eating habits. It is important that the food and eating environment in childhood assists in the development of healthy eating habits. Milk and water is provided throughout the whole day for all the children.
We have a butcher and fresh fruit supplier from our local community to supply us with all our delicious and healthy food.
We provide a 6 week rotating menu which caters for children with special dietary needs, multicultural lifestyles and religious, beliefs and children with medical needs.
